Russ Andrews is running for HOUSE DISTRICT 57 to PROTECT OUR RURAL WAY OF LIFE AND TO COMBAT EXTREMISM AT THE STATE CAPITOL.
In rural Colorado, we produce the food, water, energy, and tourism that help power this state. Yet too often, politicians from urban Colorado try to dictate how we live, work, raise our families, and run our communities. Russ Andrews is running for House District 57 to push back on that overreach and be a strong voice for the Western Slope. He’ll fight to protect our water, protect our farmers and ranchers, protect our transportation corridors, protect our constitutional rights, and protect the rural Colorado way of life.
House District 57 needs a representative who understands rural Colorado, respects rural Colorado, and will fight for rural Colorado. Russ Andrews is running because western Colorado deserves more than Denver-driven mandates and Boulder-style politics. He is running to protect the people, industries, freedoms, and values that make this part of the state strong.
Russ’s campaign comes down to one simple idea: rural Colorado needs a fighter. For too long, lawmakers from Denver and Boulder have tried to impose their values, priorities, and policies on communities they do not understand. Russ Andrews is running to be a clear, unapologetic voice for House District 57 and to protect the freedoms and way of life that make western Colorado worth defending.
Water is everything in western Colorado. Our communities, farms, ranches, and future depend on it. Russ will fight to protect Colorado water rights, defend the interests of the Western Slope, and oppose attempts to weaken rural Colorado in interstate water negotiations. He believes the people who live and work here deserve a representative who understands what is at stake and will stand up for our water before it is bargained away.
Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of rural Colorado. Russ will fight to protect agriculture from burdensome regulations, anti-ranching activism, and policies that make it harder to keep family operations alive. He will stand up for the producers who feed this state, defend private property rights, and support practical wildlife policies that put people, livestock, and local communities first.
Reliable roads and transportation routes are critical to rural Colorado’s economy and quality of life. From moving agricultural products and energy resources to supporting tourism and local commerce, our transportation corridors must be protected and improved. Russ will advocate for infrastructure priorities that actually serve western Colorado, not just the urban corridor along the Front Range.
Russ believes the Second Amendment is a fundamental constitutional right. He will oppose efforts to erode the rights of law-abiding gun owners and will stand firmly for the people of House District 57 who value self-defense, freedom, and personal responsibility. Rural Colorado does not need more anti-gun legislation from politicians who neither understand nor respect our way of life.
Parents have the primary responsibility and God-given right to raise their children. Russ believes mothers and fathers—not bureaucrats, activists, or state agencies—should have the final say in the upbringing, education, and well-being of their kids. He will fight for parental rights, greater accountability in schools and government, and policies that put children and families ahead of ideology.
Russ believes every life has value and that Colorado has moved too far, too fast, in abandoning all limits and protections for the unborn. He will be a voice for life, for conscience rights, and for a culture that respects both mothers and children. He believes rural Colorado deserves representation that reflects our values, not the most extreme agenda coming out of the Capitol.
Law-abiding citizens deserve safe communities. Russ will back law enforcement, support local control, and oppose policies that make it harder to detain and remove dangerous criminals. He believes public officials should prioritize citizen safety over political posturing and should always put the security of Colorado families first.
Colorado taxpayers need a representative who will defend TABOR, oppose unnecessary tax increases, and fight runaway government spending. Russ understands that families, small businesses, and working people cannot afford more taxes, more fees, and more regulations from Denver. He will work to cut red tape, protect taxpayer refunds, and keep government in its proper lane.

Russ Andrews is running for House District 57 because he believes rural Colorado needs strong representation at the Capitol now more than ever. He understands what is under threat: our water, our agriculture, our rights, our economy, our families, and our local way of life. Russ is stepping forward to be a serious, dependable conservative voice for the Western Slope.
Russ Andrews and his wife, Lori, have called Colorado home since 1994. With a background in engineering, finance, and public service, Russ brings a wealth of experience and a results-driven mindset to everything he does.
Russ earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering (B.E.M.E.) from SUNY Maritime College at Fort Schuyler. After graduation, he sailed on a Texaco oil tanker, gaining hands-on experience in the energy sector.

Russ Andrews is running for House District 57 because he is tired of watching rural Colorado get ignored, over-regulated, and pushed around by politicians from urban counties who do not understand our priorities. In much of this state, rural communities produce the food, water, energy, and tourism that keep Colorado going. Yet those same communities are constantly being told how to live by lawmakers who treat Western Colorado like an afterthought.
Russ is running to change that. He is running to protect our water, protect our farmers and ranchers, protect our transportation corridors, protect our Second Amendment rights, protect our children and parental rights, protect public safety, and protect taxpayers. He believes House District 57 needs a representative who will not apologize for rural Colorado, but will fight for it every single day.
